Job Description :
The oil rig crane operator would be assigned to offshore oil field. Coordinates all crane operations from the supply boats and aboard the rig. The cranes are used to bring aboard supplies like rig equipment, castings, pipes, even groceries. It’s the responsibility of the crane operator to lift these items off the supply boats in a safe manner and pass them to the rig.
Duties and Responsibilities
* The oil rig crane operator supervises the Roustabouts and the crane operator assistant
* He supplies the rig floor with the requirements that are needed
* In Some cases he also performs the general maintenance on the rig
* Usually he has an assistant to help him haul equipment, castings, pipes, rig equipment as well as groceries on board
Job Criterias and Qualifications
Must have experienced in offshore drilling operation
Must be certified as offshore crane operator
Must have at least 4+ Years experience.
